Job Description

Turning Point is an award-winning daytime-only restaurant company that has been in business for 28 years, with locations across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida, and Virginia. As a growing company, Turning Point operates both corporate-owned locations and franchised stores, providing ample opportunities for career advancement and professional growth. The restaurant operates exclusively during daytime hours, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance for its employees by eliminating night shifts. This unique schedule allows restaurant managers and staff to enjoy their evenings and personal time, making Turning Point an ideal workplace for individuals seeking professional fulfillment while maintaining their personal lives.

The company prides itself on professionalism and dedication, fostering a culture of learning, leadership, and guest satisfaction. At Turning Point, managers are expected to lead their teams with energy and commitment, whether or not they have prior restaurant experience, as long as they possess the drive to learn and provide outstanding customer service. The company values gratitude and respect, often showing appreciation to its team members through company events, paid time off, workshops, and other tokens of recognition. New managers receive comprehensive training, supported by upper management and human resources, ensuring a positive onboarding experience and thorough understanding of the Turning Point system.

The manager role at Turning Point involves daily management of one daytime shift without working double shifts or closing and opening shifts. This ensures a manageable and predictable work schedule. Managers work closely with both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) staff, conducting regular inventory, and overseeing the financial performance of their location, which directly impacts their performance-based compensation. The restaurant utilizes technology solutions to streamline managerial tasks and improve efficiency. Management also plays a key role in recruiting exceptional team members, promoting equity and equality in the workplace, and fostering professional growth opportunities for staff. Overall, the manager is responsible for delivering the ideal Turning Point experience to guests, maintaining high standards, and supporting a respectful and collaborative work environment.

Salary for the manager position ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 per year, with additional earning potential through performance-based bonuses. This competitive compensation package, coupled with comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, and paid time off, underscores Turning Point's commitment to supporting its workforce. The company highlights its supportive work environment that values teamwork, collaboration, and respect, making it an excellent place to build a rewarding career in restaurant management. Prospective candidates are encouraged to complete the application process promptly to join a team where their efforts and dedication will be recognized and appreciated. Turning Point's headquarters is located at 137 Central Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090.
