Job Description
Chili's is a well-established casual dining restaurant chain that traces its roots back to Dallas, Texas, where it was founded in 1975. Over the decades, Chili's has successfully built a strong brand identity centered on delivering a memorable dining experience through its signature Big Mouth burgers, house-smoked ribs, full-on fajitas, and hand-shaken margaritas. The company has become a go-to destination for families and friends looking to enjoy hearty and flavorful American-style meals in a welcoming and fun environment. With a legacy deeply rooted in exceptional service, a genuine spirit of hospitality, and community involvement, Chili's strives to create a culture where every guest and every employee feels valued and appreciated.
This commitment to excellence and culture extends beyond just food and drink, emphasizing a vibrant and supportive atmosphere both within its restaurants and in the communities it serves. Chili's is not just about dining – it is about building relationships, fostering teamwork, and consistently delivering quality experiences day after day.
The role of the Chili's Manager is essential in sustaining and advancing this culture. Chili's Managers are individuals wired for hospitality, who understand that the foundation of their success lies in their ability to connect authentically with both team members and guests. They serve as the critical link between leadership, staff, and customers. The ideal manager thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a dependable team player with excellent multitasking skills, and is passionate about driving business results while ensuring a fun and engaging work environment.
Managers at Chili's carry significant responsibility, ranging from leading high-energy shifts to exceeding guest expectations consistently. They must model and enforce operational and quality standards, foster open communication, and hold themselves and their teams accountable with transparency and integrity. Leadership at Chili's means influencing positive change, promoting restaurant initiatives, and cultivating a sense of ownership among staff.
Furthermore, Chili's Managers are expected to drive business success by effectively utilizing the restaurant's proven systems for cost control and operational excellence. This includes following structured management tools such as the Manager Timeline and performing quality Line Checks to maintain high standards. Equally important is their role in talent management - hiring, training, and developing team members to grow within the organization, thereby ensuring a sustainable pipeline of capable leaders and a motivated workforce.
The Manager's role also extends into the community, with a focus on guest engagement and relationship-building. Understanding safe food handling procedures and embodying Chili's culture and core beliefs - Every Guest Counts, Food Perfection, Be Accountable, Play Restaurant – underpin every action and decision made by the management team.
This position is a full-time opportunity with an annual salary range between $65,000 and $75,000, reflecting Chili's commitment to attracting passionate, skilled, and dedicated professionals who can help keep the Chili's experience exceptional for every guest and team member alike. If you are someone eager to lead with both heart and mind, thrive under pressure, and create an unbeatable guest atmosphere, the role of Manager at Chili's offers a rewarding and dynamic career path.
