The Church's Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is a pivotal role within the company, responsible for overseeing all business activities at a single restaurant location. Reporting directly to the Market Leader and operating within the Field Operations department, the RGM is dedicated to creating an exceptional dining environment that exceeds guest expectations. The General Manager's primary objective is to provide a superior and memorable experience for all guests while achieving sales goals and managing operational expenses efficiently within budget constraints.

In this role, the RGM directs a team typically composed of one or more Assistant Restaurant General Managers and Shift Leaders, with the exact number depending on the restaurant's size, sales volume, and geographic location. The General Manager fosters a positive workplace culture where team members are actively engaged, encouraged to grow professionally, and motivated to deliver exceptional service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry
  • Successful completion of all training with passing scores on applicable tests

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of valid insurance
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 50 to 55 hours per week
  • Must be available to work a flexible shift including weekends
  • Knowledge of restaurant policies, practices, operational procedures, and human resources procedures
  • Understanding of labor cost reporting, operating statements, and other business-related reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with all levels
  • Basic computer skills

Job Duties

  • Create an in store service environment that exceeds guest expectations with friendly, quick, and accurate service
  • Communicate and follow-up with guests to obtain feedback and identify service and food quality improvement opportunities
  • Assist and resolve all guest complaints in-person or by phone using the listen, apologize, satisfy and thank model
  • Ensure all incoming calls are handled promptly, courteously, and professionally
  • Direct and conduct regular training with team members
  • Provide regular feedback to team members and identify areas for improvement
  • Work with direct reports to cross-train and assist in the development of new skills
  • Create a workplace where team members strive to do their best, are rewarded for performance, and have fun
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances
  • Maintain a clean and safe restaurant environment
  • Manage budgets and make adjustments as needed
