Job Description
El Dorado Kitchen is a renowned restaurant and boutique hotel situated in the vibrant and historic Sonoma Square, California. This contemporary 27-room boutique hotel and award-winning dining establishment is known for its impeccable hospitality and culinary excellence. The restaurant is led by Executive Chef Armando Navarro, whose menu features the finest Sonoma ingredients, carefully selected and prepared to highlight seasonal flavors. This unique location offers guests a memorable dining experience paired with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that embodies the spirit of Sonoma wine country. The establishment prides itself on creating an environment where joy meets impeccable service, providing guests with exceptional culinary and hospitality experiences.\n\nEl Dorado Kitchen is currently seeking a dedicated full-time Floor Manager to join their award-winning hospitality team. The role requires availability on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays (both AM and PM shifts), and holidays, with flexibility preferred to accommodate varying operational needs. As a Floor Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant's front-of-house activities, combining leadership with hands-on service to maintain the restaurant's high standards. \n\nIn this role, you will be responsible for greeting guests with warmth and professionalism, expertly managing food and beverage orders, and ensuring orders are delivered with precision and care. Your role includes processing payments efficiently while following strict cash handling and security protocols to protect guest information and maintain privacy. The Floor Manager will also assist in maintaining the dining space and equipment, ensuring the restaurant environment remains clean, functional, and welcoming. Moreover, this leadership position involves fostering a supportive team culture through mentoring and guiding staff, encouraging growth and professional development in line with El Dorado Kitchen's commitment to promoting internal career advancement.\n\nEl Dorado Kitchen values organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage fast-paced, dynamic service environments. Candidates who excel as collaborative team players with strong problem-solving abilities will thrive here. The company uses technology systems including TOAST and OpenTable for point-of-sale and reservations, so familiarity with these platforms is beneficial. A thorough understanding of restaurant operations, beverage knowledge, culinary familiarity, legal compliance, and standards excellence is crucial for success.\n\nJoining El Dorado Kitchen means becoming part of a stable and supportive team where your contributions are valued, and your growth is nurtured. The restaurant benefits from its prime location just 21 miles from Santa Rosa and 14 miles from both Napa and Petaluma, making commuting convenient. This role offers the chance to work in one of California's most beautiful wine country destinations, contributing to memorable guest experiences and your own career development in hospitality.
