The role of Restaurant Manager at Texas Roadhouse is a full-time leadership position responsible for overseeing both Front of House and Back of House operations. This pivotal role ensures that the high standards of legendary food and service are consistently met and exceeded. The Restaurant Manager is entrusted with managing hourly employees through performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline, as well as hiring and scheduling staff effectively. They play a key role in driving sales, improving guest satisfaction, and maintaining operational excellence. Additionally, the Restaurant Manager supervises food preparation to ensure adherence to established recipes and safety protocols. They are also responsible for enforcing security measures to maintain a safe environment for both employees and guests.

At Texas Roadhouse, the Restaurant Manager leads team training efforts for both FOH and BOH employees and conducts quality checks such as formal line Taste & Temps. The role involves managing food, supplies, and liquor costs by conducting weekly inventories and implementing safe food handling practices. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience managing a restaurant or similar environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Basic computer skills for scheduling and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Manage hourly employees including conducting performance evaluations coaching and discipline
  • Review applications interviewing and hiring or recommending hiring of hourly employees
  • Direct work for employees including setting hours and weekly schedules assigning tasks before during and after restaurant hours
  • Drive sales steps of service and guest satisfaction
  • Provide direct and schedule FOH and BOH training
  • Supervise and oversee food production and preparation consistent with recipes and procedures
  • Conduct formal line Taste & Temps
  • Enforce appropriate security measures to ensure safety of employees and guests
  • Manage food supplies and liquor costs by conducting weekly inventory
  • Understand manage and practice safe food handling procedures
  • Create a safe fun and clean work environment for staff consistent with core values and operational goals
