Job Description

Burtons Grill is a distinguished restaurant chain with a strong commitment to delivering chef-driven, made-from-scratch food alongside memorable guest experiences. Established in New England and popular throughout the East Coast, Burtons Grill is a beacon of contemporary American cuisine prepared from wholesome, premium ingredients. The brand is deeply rooted in values of quality, accessibility, and hospitality. Known for its scratch kitchens and extensive protocols for accommodating food allergies and dietary restrictions, including a comprehensive gluten-free menu, Burtons Grill continually prioritizes both guest satisfaction and team well-being. This dedication to excellence has established the company as a favorite dining destination, cherished by loyal customers for its delicious menu offerings ranging from juicy burgers and vibrant salads to tender steaks and fresh seafood.

The Assistant Manager role at Burtons Grill offers an exciting opportunity to participate in and lead the dynamic operations of one of the restaurant’s locations. This position plays a vital role in supporting the General Manager by overseeing the daily flow of service, ensuring that food quality and hospitality standards are consistently upheld. The Assistant Manager is responsible for fostering a positive, guest-first service culture while helping to cultivate a strong and motivated team both in the front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) areas. Those stepping into this leadership role will thrive in a collaborative environment that values growth, creativity, inclusion, and continuous development.

Burtons Grill is invested in creating a workplace environment that promotes teamwork, integrity, and excellence, recognizing that a happy and fulfilled staff directly enhances the guest experience. The restaurant prioritizes exceptional training, coaching, and performance management to empower team members in achieving their full potential. The Assistant Manager will also contribute to maintaining high operational standards across food preparation, cleanliness, safety, and customer interaction. This role suits candidates with previous restaurant management experience, strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. Knowledge of kitchen operations is a plus but not mandatory.

Employment at Burtons Grill as an Assistant Manager is typically full-time, with competitive compensation reflective of experience. The company supports its employees by offering health insurance, paid vacation, employee dining benefits, and opportunities for advancement within the organization. At Burtons Grill, diversity and inclusion are foundational—being an Equal Opportunity Employer, the company does not discriminate on any basis unrelated to merit. Aspiring candidates who value quality, growth, and top-tier guest service will find a rewarding career path here. Join Burtons Grill and help craft extraordinary dining experiences while advancing your hospitality career in a supportive and vibrant community.
