Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience handling food and practicing proper sanitation methods
  • experience managing team members in a restaurant and/or dining setting
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • understanding of safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, and bending

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train hosts and servers
  • direct hosts and servers in daily operation and cleaning of restaurant and server areas
  • determine departmental staffing needs
  • manage monthly operating budget and participate in annual budget development
  • partner with Executive Chef on menu development, presentation, and meal delivery monitoring
  • communicate policies and mentor team members
  • ensure cleanliness and suitability of restaurant for meal service
  • promptly report and address unsafe conditions or equipment problems
  • ensure each resident's meal is accounted for
  • delegate service tasks to servers
  • recognize departmental needs and report concerns to management
  • assist in preparing meals for special events
  • properly store food and supplies
  • use cleaners and hazardous materials safely
  • promote team member recognition programs
  • attend training and team meetings
  • implement emergency plans and participate in regular safety drills
  • coach and mentor team members
