Job Description

Outback Steakhouse is a renowned Australian-themed restaurant that has been delighting guests with its juicy steaks, spirited drinks, and welcoming Aussie hospitality since its inception in 1988. As part of the Out West Restaurant Group, the largest franchisee of Outback Steakhouse, this establishment has earned a reputation for delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining a vibrant, inclusive culture for its employees. Proudly ranked #1 in Customer Satisfaction within a Full-Service Restaurant category in 2023, Outback Steakhouse is dedicated to making guests feel like they are enjoying a meal in their own home. This commitment to quality and service creates a dynamic work environment where respect, camaraderie, and enthusiasm flourish.

Out West Restaurant Group fosters a working culture that values the development and success of its team members, known affectionately as "Outbackers." The company believes in treating its people "Just Right" to ensure both personal and organizational success. This is reflected in comprehensive training programs, including an 11-week paid, on-site Manager in Training (MIT) program that equips new managers with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in their leadership roles. The group strongly supports diversity and inclusion, ensuring that all employment decisions are made without regard to any characteristic protected by law, promoting an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.

The Restaurant Manager role at Outback Steakhouse is an exciting leadership opportunity for individuals passionate about the restaurant industry and customer service. The position requires managing the daily operations of both the front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) functions. With limited supervision, the manager is responsible for upholding company standards, enhancing customer satisfaction, driving business growth, and leading a team effectively. The role involves strategic oversight of labor costs, food and beverage inventory, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards to maximize profitability and maintain the high-quality dining experience expected by Outback guests.

Management at Outback is not just about overseeing operations but also about creating an enjoyable and motivating environment where team members are mentored to succeed. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting and has the skills to recruit, train, and retain a strong, talented staff. This role offers career growth opportunities, including the potential for advancement into upper management positions within the company.

Additional perks include a balance between work and life with a targeted 47-hour workweek, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans for employees and their families, paid vacation, 401k retirement plans, and paid sick days. The company also provides a range of supplemental benefits such as group life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, manager shift meals, and access to PerkSpot discounts. Overall, Outback Steakhouse presents a rewarding career path for individuals seeking to grow within a supportive and thriving restaurant community.
