The General Manager at KFC of Polly's plays a crucial leadership role and is pivotal in steering a single store's operations towards success. This full-time management position is responsible for overseeing all components of the store's operation including workforce planning, staff recruitment, training and coaching, and adherence to company policies. The General Manager manages both the front and heart of the house to ensure optimal guest experiences are delivered daily. Additionally, the role requires management of finances, including profit and loss forecasting, budget management, and cost control initiatives to boost store profitability. This role also includes community outreach and local marketing strategies aimed at growing sales and strengthening customer loyalty.
The General Manager must demonstrate dynamic people management skills to motivate, develop, and retain staff, ensuring a high-functioning team environment that aligns with KFC and Polly's corporate standards. Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- 1-5 years of related supervisory experience
- Basic computer skills in POS and Microsoft Office
- Food preparation skills
- Up to date on food safety and health codes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong customer relations skills
- Successful completion of company management training
- Ability to work varied hours weekends holidays and dinner shifts
- Compliance with CA wage and hour laws
- Ability to handle labor and cost management
- Effective communication and leadership skills
Job Qualifications
- 1-5 years of supervisory experience
- Successful completion of company’s management development training program
- Strong knowledge of store operations and management principles
- Basic computer skills including POS and Microsoft Office
- Proficient in food preparation relevant to restaurant business
- Up to date on food safety and health codes
- Extensive knowledge in customer relations
- Customer-focused with ability to work independently or team-oriented
Job Duties
- Deliver high quality results through recruitment selection onboarding education and coaching
- Manage store operations through policies service standards and procedure improvement
- Lead labor and team member management including scheduling monitoring and counseling
- Build team through rapport support coaching delegation and development
- Support long-term management staff development and accountability
- Maintain guest satisfaction through monitoring evaluating and auditing quality and service
- Uphold cash handling policies including verifying safe balancing drawers and deposits
