Job Description

Outback Steakhouse is a well-established casual dining restaurant that prides itself on delivering an exceptional guest experience through high-quality food and outstanding customer service. As a part of Bloomin' Brands, a global restaurant company with a diverse portfolio of dining establishments, Outback Steakhouse is dedicated to providing a fun, inclusive, and engaging work environment where team members, affectionately known as Outbackers, can thrive. Celebrated for their signature Aussie hospitality, Outback Steakhouse focuses on creating a workplace culture that values bold personalities, teamwork, and professional growth. The company fosters an environment that promotes pride in work, fun interactions, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations with every visit.

The role of a Manager at Outback Steakhouse is critical to the day-to-day success of the restaurant. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations, ensuring that the restaurant's appearance, food quality, and guest experience meet the highest standards. Under limited supervision, the Manager leads and motivates the team, providing professional leadership and direction to ensure that all operational goals are met successfully. This includes staff scheduling, recruitment, training, and maintaining high employment quality standards aligned with the brand's values. The Manager also plays an important part in career development, actively participating in the growth of hourly team members to help them maximize their potential.

Safety is a top priority for Outback Steakhouse, and the Manager is charged with implementing effective security protocols to protect both employees and guests at all times. In addition, the Manager ensures strict compliance with all operational guidelines, safety and sanitation standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This involves maintaining cleanliness, adhering to health inspection requirements, and guaranteeing that all food preparation meets or exceeds company standards. Managers also act as the primary point of contact for guests, professionally handling feedback, resolving issues, and building customer loyalty while setting the benchmark for service excellence in the restaurant.

The Manager should have comprehensive knowledge of the entire menu and preparation methods to provide accurate guidance and leadership. Engaging with the community and local market is also an integral part of the role, helping to promote the restaurant and strengthen its presence in the area. Compensation for the Manager position varies by location and includes potential bonuses based on eligibility and business performance. Bloomin' Brands provides a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision care, and 401k plans, fostering an environment of support and care for employees.
