Job Description

Outback Steakhouse is a world-renowned Australian-themed restaurant known for its juicy steaks, spirited drinks, and genuine Aussie hospitality. Founded in 1988, Outback Steakhouse has grown to become a beloved full-service dining destination with a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. The brand has earned the prestigious #1 ranking in Customer Satisfaction within full-service restaurants for 2023, a testament to the quality of food, service, and environment it provides. Out West Restaurant Group, the largest franchisee of Outback Steakhouse, upholds these high standards by fostering a culture of respect, camaraderie, and enthusiasm. The company believes in treating its customers and employees "Just Right," creating an environment where success and positive impacts on people's lives are a priority.

This culture engages employees, referred to as "Outbackers," by providing them with training and opportunities to excel in their roles. Outback Steakhouse operates with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, all while maintaining a fun and inviting atmosphere that makes every guest feel like family.

The Restaurant Manager position at Outback Steakhouse is a vital leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operation of both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) functions. In this role, the Restaurant Manager is charged with upholding the company’s standards for customer experience, operational excellence, compliance, and employee leadership. This includes overseeing various facets such as labor management, food and beverage costs, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The manager plays a crucial role in mentoring and leading a team, cultivating an enjoyable workplace, and driving business growth through sales and marketing activities.

New managers enter an extensive Manager in Training (MIT) program, designed to build their skills and set them up for success as top leaders within the Outback family. The role requires demonstrated leadership ability, experience in restaurant management, and flexibility within the region. Managers are instrumental in recruiting new talent, ensuring that staff delivers quality service and food presentation, and enforcing safety and sanitation standards. The position offers robust benefits and a positive work-life balance, with targeted workweeks, comprehensive health insurance plans, paid vacation, retirement plans, and a supportive training program. The Restaurant Manager role is an exciting opportunity to grow a rewarding career in a respected and thriving restaurant brand.
