The role itself is designed to support the General Manager in all aspects of day-to-day restaurant operations, with a primary focus on driving sales growth, achieving profit objectives, implementing new program execution, and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction. This position carries significant responsibility for maintaining operational excellence by staffing appropriately, overseeing training and development initiatives, and ensuring all activities align with brand standards and local regulations. Employees in this role must exhibit strong leadership capabilities and adaptability to effectively respond to shifting business priorities and market demands.
In close partnership with the General Manager, this position involves strategic planning to help build restaurant operating plans that support both company-wide and local market strategies. Candidates will play an integral role in managing schedules, staffing needs, food and non-food inventory, and adhering to safety, sanitation, and compliance guidelines. Operational duties include supervising quality control for menu item preparation, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and fostering a positive workplace culture based on open communication and mutual respect.
This position also demands a keen financial acumen, as the candidate will assist in managing controllable expenses, analyzing financial reports, and collaborating with leadership to develop improvement plans. Attention to market trends and local competition will be essential for selecting and executing effective local marketing efforts with guidance from district and field support representatives. A strong emphasis is placed on upholding company values with a clear focus on safety, guest service excellence, and team leadership.
Candidates must be prepared to handle employee relations matters, administer disciplinary procedures, and resolve conflicts constructively. The hospitality and guest service skills required go far beyond routine customer interactions; they involve demonstrating a positive "can-do" attitude, showing respect for colleagues and guests alike, and maintaining flexibility to adapt to the fast-paced and changing hospitality environment. Overall, this role offers a rewarding career path for individuals passionate about hospitality management and committed to making a tangible difference in the guest experience and team development.
