Job Description

Raising Cane's is a well-established fast-food restaurant chain specializing in high-quality chicken finger meals. Known for its commitment to quality, customer service, and a unique culture that fosters growth and teamwork, Raising Cane's has grown rapidly across the United States and internationally. The company is dedicated to creating an enjoyable dining experience for its customers while maintaining high operational standards in every location. With a strong emphasis on community involvement and employee development, Raising Cane's stands out as a desirable place to work and grow within the restaurant industry.

The Restaurant Manager role at Raising Cane's is a vital position that supports the Restaurant Leader in managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This position requires an individual who can uphold the brand's standards and culture during their shift management responsibilities. The physical work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, including working in the kitchen with extended periods of physical activity such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending. The manager will interact with both customers and team members and ensure a safe and clean environment, adhering strictly to health and safety protocols. This role often involves working both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and handling food products, common allergens, industrial equipment, and commercial cleaning products that require personal protective equipment.

The core purpose of the Restaurant Manager position is to ensure all restaurant zones operate according to Raising Cane's standards during their shift. Acting as the manager on duty, the individual will open and close the restaurant, manage cash handling processes with full accountability, and enforce company policies and standards. The manager will conduct shift meetings to maintain operational and safety compliance and use required tools, forms, and logs to document shift outcomes and implement corrective actions when necessary.

This role is also critical in directing crewmembers during shifts to deliver exemplary customer service that aligns with Raising Cane's brand values. The Restaurant Manager will utilize employee reward and recognition programs to motivate staff and authorize functions that require managerial approval, such as discounts, promotions, and timeclock overrides. Ensuring the restaurant’s cleanliness and that all facilities are in good working order is another essential responsibility, contributing to a positive customer experience and operational efficiency. The manager will also be expected to complete other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the restaurant's success.

Successful candidates for this role are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a constantly changing environment. They should be self-driven, flexible, and energetic with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is crucial, along with problem-solving skills to recognize issues, set goals, and implement corrective actions. Knowledge in staffing, scheduling, people management, and cost control is necessary to maintain smooth restaurant operations. Proficiency in various technology systems, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required. This role demands readiness to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and the possibility of travel for work-related functions and training.

The position requires completion of all Raising Cane's training programs and at least one year of restaurant or retail management experience.
