Founded in 1969, Cracker Barrel has grown to become a national staple with over 70,000 team members working across hundreds of stores throughout multiple states. The company prides itself not only on serving delicious food and offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere to guests but also on fostering a culture where employees are valued and supported. At Cracker Barrel, the focus is on creating moments that matter, whether that be through excellent guest service, attention to detail in the kitchen, or maintaining smooth operations behind the scenes. The commitment to a shared mission of hospitality and care has established Cracker Barrel as more than just a restaurant chain—it is a community where people find comfort, connection, and opportunity.
The position of Restaurant Associate Manager at Cracker Barrel is integral to the company’s success and hospitality mission. This role is designed for individuals who possess a passion for people and leadership in a vibrant, fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Restaurant Associate Manager, you will be entrusted with executing all store operations encompassing both front-of-house and back-of-house duties. Your leadership will directly impact the guest and employee experience, setting the tone for service quality and operational excellence. The company values managers who foster care and hospitality among their teams, ensuring that both employees and guests feel valued and supported.
This role demands a balance of strong management skills, effective communication, and an unwavering dedication to the guest experience. Restaurant Associate Managers have the advantage of support from a home office team available 24/7, allowing them to succeed in their responsibilities with the necessary resources and guidance. The company offers a competitive annual salary, merit increase opportunities, and quarterly bonuses, making this not only a rewarding position in terms of personal and professional growth but also financially beneficial.
Cracker Barrel is committed to providing comprehensive benefits that support the well-being and development of its managers. From day one, employees have access to medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits, along with life insurance and disability coverage. Paid vacation and employee assistance programs are part of the package, emphasizing the company’s commitment to work-life balance and employee health. The role includes opportunities for professional advancement with nearly 100% of General Manager and District Manager openings filled internally, demonstrating Cracker Barrel’s dedication to promoting from within.
In addition to financial and health-related benefits, the company invests in its employees' future through a 401k plan with company matching contributions available after 90 days and an employee stock purchase program, highlighting Cracker Barrel’s intention to foster long-term employee engagement and financial security. The discount on food and retail items is a valued perk that further enhances the employee experience.
Working at Cracker Barrel means joining a team that values the essence of hospitality, takes pride in teamwork, and plays a vital role in creating memorable moments for their guests. It is an environment where managers are not only leaders but role models who inspire their teams and foster a caring culture. The company stands by equal employment opportunity principles, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace. If you are ready to pursue a career where your leadership impacts both people and business outcomes in a meaningful way, Cracker Barrel invites you to apply and be part of a company committed to being "all in good company."
