We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead all facets of our restaurant operations. Along with balancing seating capacity and managing customer flow, you will be directly involved in hiring qualified cooks and service personnel, planning work schedules, and supervising food preparation to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.

Your expertise in financial management will be crucial as you control operating costs, minimize waste, and analyze financial reports including weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses. Additionally, you will help expand the restaurant’s reach and enhance its image by spearheading promotional activities such as community engagement, local events, and marketing campaigns including discounts and social media advertising. Training and developing staff will also fall under your purview to ensure consistent customer service excellence and operational continuity.

To excel in this role, you will need proven management skills and experience in the hospitality sector, with demonstrated ability to manage both front-of-house and back-of-house operations effectively. Familiarity with restaurant management software like Sevenrooms or POS systems is essential. We highly value strong leadership, excellent communication, and comprehensive food and beverage knowledge. A background in business administration, hospitality management, or culinary education will be advantageous.

Job Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a restaurant manager, restaurant general manager, hospitality manager or similar role
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Sevenrooms and POS systems
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Acute financial management skills
  • Bsc degree in business administration

Job Duties

  • Coordinate daily front of the house and back of the house restaurant operations
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manage restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
