The company is currently seeking an experienced and energetic Restaurant Manager to join their dynamic team. This leadership role is critical to the daily operations of the restaurant and is classified as an exempt salaried position, highlighting the importance and responsibility associated with the role. The Restaurant Manager will be tasked with overseeing personnel management, daily sales reporting, money handling, safety protocols, security, purchasing, and overall guest satisfaction. This role requires a strong focus on maintaining the profitability and inventory control of the assigned department.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in managing restaurant operations, ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency meet the highest standards. They will also be responsible for enforcing all health and safety regulations per governing bodies, maintaining equipment in safe working condition, and securing the building and assets. The manager will handle opening, closing, and monthly procedural paperwork accurately, participate actively in staff scheduling and ordering, and update communication systems daily. Proficiency with restaurant technology such as the Aloha POS system, Hot Schedules, TalentReef, Paylocity, and C2it is essential. In addition, the manager will ensure that all financial transactions, including petty cash and deposits, are handled with strict adherence to company standards.
In terms of staff development, the Restaurant Manager will hold the team accountable to operational systems, teach hygiene and safety standards, foster a respectful and discrimination-free work environment, and oversee employee training programs. Recruitment responsibilities include conducting interviews, hiring, onboarding, and performing annual staff evaluations. The role also involves timely disciplinary actions and termination processes in accordance with company policies, with consultation from the General Manager as needed. Creating a positive work environment that respects employees’ rights is a priority.
Beyond operations and staff management, the Restaurant Manager will embrace and uphold the company culture, mission statement, and values. They are expected to maintain excellent customer service, engage in professional growth, and focus on personal development plans. This role requires approximately 50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, without additional compensation for extra hours worked, reflective of its exempt status.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequent walking, standing, bending, stair climbing, and working in congested areas, all critical for the hands-on nature of the role. Smoking is prohibited in the workplace. Job Duties
