The role of a Restaurant Manager at Raising Cane's involves supporting the Restaurant Leader in the daily management of restaurant operations, ensuring that all activities meet the company’s high standards for service, cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. The Restaurant Manager has a crucial responsibility in upholding Raising Cane’s culture during all shifts by managing day-to-day functions, including shift execution, customer service, and crew oversight. Physical demands of the job include working in environments with fluctuating temperatures, both indoors and outdoors, and performing physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods. The position also requires interaction with food products, common allergens, industrial equipment, and cleaning products, necessitating the consistent use of personal protective equipment to maintain safety standards.
As a Restaurant Manager, you will act as the manager on duty, responsible for opening and closing the restaurant and ensuring the accountability of cash handling procedures. You will enforce company policies and uphold operational and safety standards during shifts through effective use of management tools, forms, and logs. Leadership duties include directing crewmembers, providing exemplary customer service, and motivating staff through recognition programs.
This position demands excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, and strong communication capabilities. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Able to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends
- Must complete all required Raising Cane’s company training programs
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in technology systems including Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and energetic
- Able to travel for work-related functions and training
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in staffing, scheduling, people and cost management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Highly energetic and self-driven with flexibility
Job Duties
- Ensures operations meet Raising Cane’s standards in all restaurant zones during a shift
- Acts as manager on duty and opens and closes the restaurant
- Manages cash handling and ensures accountability
- Enforces Raising Cane’s policies and standards
- Executes shift management meeting Raising Cane’s operations and safety standards
- Uses required tools, forms and logs to support shift execution, document results and take corrective action when needed
- Directs crewmembers during a shift
- Provides exemplary customer service
- Utilizes reward and recognition program for the crewmembers in the restaurant
- Authorizes employee functions requiring manager approval such as discounts, promotions, timeclock overrides
- Ensures cleanliness of the restaurant and ensures the facility is in good working order
- Completes other duties as assigned
