The role of the Restaurant Manager at Raising Cane's is both challenging and rewarding, playing a pivotal part in the day-to-day operations while upholding the company's esteemed standards and culture. Restaurant Managers support the Restaurant Leader by overseeing shift management responsibilities and ensuring all areas of the restaurant meet operational excellence. This position demands working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with varied physical activities such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending. Managers interact directly with customers to provide exemplary service while maintaining a safe, clean, and productive restaurant atmosphere. This role includes both inside and outside work in diverse weather conditions while handling food products, allergens, industrial equipment, and commercial cleaning substances, requiring adherence to safety protocols and personal protective equipment use.

As a key leader within the restaurant, the Restaurant Manager is responsible for operations ensuring compliance with Raising Cane's standards during each shift, managing cash and accountability, and acting as the manager on duty, including opening and closing the restaurant. This position directs crew members, enforces policies and safety standards, and uses various operational tools to document shift activities and address any issues proactively. The Restaurant Manager is instrumental in fostering a positive workplace culture through recognition programs and by authorizing employee functions. The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, communicate effectively, and lead by example is critical for success in this role. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends
  • must complete all required Raising Cane's company training programs
  • proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • able to work independently and collaboratively
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • detail-oriented and organized
  • knowledge of staffing, scheduling, people and cost management
  • flexible and self-driven
  • able to recognize problems, set goals, and execute plans

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively
  • detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities

Job Duties

  • Ensure operations meet Raising Cane's standards in all restaurant zones during a shift
  • act as manager on duty and open and close the restaurant
  • manage cash handling and ensure accountability
  • enforce Raising Cane's policies and standards
  • execute shift management meeting Raising Cane's operations and safety standards
  • use required tools, forms and logs to support shift execution, document results and take corrective action when needed
  • direct crewmembers during a shift
  • provide exemplary customer service
  • utilize reward and recognition programs for crewmembers
  • authorize employee functions requiring manager approval
  • ensure cleanliness of the restaurant and facility is in good working order
  • complete other duties as assigned
