The Restaurant Manager position at Texas Roadhouse plays a crucial role in maintaining the brand’s standards for both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. The Restaurant Manager ensures that every guest experiences excellent service and high-quality food, adhering to the company’s legendary standards. The manager is responsible for the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and hiring to coaching, evaluating, and retaining employees. The role also involves scheduling work shifts, training employees for optimal performance, and enforcing security measures to maintain a safe environment for both patrons and staff. A key component of the role is managing inventory and controlling food, liquor, and supply costs through weekly inventory reviews and implementing cost-control practices.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in restaurant management or related field
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks required in a restaurant setting

Job Duties
- Manage hourly employees including conducting performance evaluations coaching and discipline
- Review applications interviewing and hiring or making recommendations to hire hourly employees
- Direct work for employees including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before during and after open hours of the restaurant
- Drive sales steps of service and guest satisfaction
- Provide direct and schedule Front of House and Back of House training
- Supervise and oversee the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
- Conduct formal line taste and temperature checks
- Enforce appropriate security measures at the restaurant to maintain safety of employees and guests
- Manage food supplies and liquor costs by conducting weekly inventory
- Understand manage and practice safe food handling procedures
- Create a safe fun and clean work environment consistent with core values and operational goals
