Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a renowned restaurant and retail company with a legacy dating back to 1969. Known for its warm hospitality, delicious home-style food, and unique country store, Cracker Barrel has become an iconic destination for both locals and travelers alike. With more than 70,000 team members across the United States, the company prides itself on creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy hearty meals and feel at home. Cracker Barrel is recognized for its commitment to serving much more than just food; it offers a distinct experience that blends Southern charm, friendly service, and a sense of community that encourages people to gather and reconnect. The company values its employees and fosters a culture centered around teamwork, respect, and personal growth, making it a place where both guests and staff feel valued and appreciated.

The role of a Cracker Barrel Restaurant Manager is integral to delivering the brand's promise of Always Serving Up More Than a Meal. As a Restaurant Manager, you will lead both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring that every aspect of the restaurant runs smoothly and that each guest encounter is memorable. This leadership role requires a balance of operational expertise and people-first management style. You will be responsible for coaching and developing your team members, managing inventory efficiently, and maintaining the high standards of hospitality that Cracker Barrel is known for. Your leadership will inspire your team to perform their best, especially during busy times, and ensure that the culture of care and respect extends from the employees to the guests.

Working at Cracker Barrel means joining a company that invests in your success and well-being. The position typically involves working around 50 hours per week, usually in five 10-hour shifts, including holidays and weekends, which reflects the dynamic and fast-paced environment of restaurant management. In return for your dedication, Cracker Barrel offers a competitive annual salary along with opportunities for merit increases and quarterly bonuses. Beyond compensation, the company provides a comprehensive benefits package from day one, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, disability plans, and paid vacation. There are also significant opportunities for growth and professional development, as a large majority of leadership positions are filled internally, supported by tuition reimbursement and ongoing training programs.

Cracker Barrel also cultivates a strong culture of belonging and support, starting from the onboarding process and continuing through recognition programs and employee events that strengthen team bonds. Additional perks include a 35% discount on food and retail items and exclusive offers on various lifestyle needs. Overall, this managerial role is not only about maintaining restaurant operations but also about nurturing a positive team environment where everyone is inspired to contribute their best efforts and embody the company’s values. If you lead with care, thrive in managing diverse teams and operational tasks, and believe that hospitality is about strong leadership and shared effort, Cracker Barrel welcomes you to be part of its dedicated family.
