Job Description
First Watch is the fastest growing breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant concept in the United States, boasting over 400 locations nationwide. Known for its focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients and a vibrant daytime dining experience, First Watch prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service within a welcoming and friendly environment. The franchise locations managed by Capstone Concepts in Tennessee and Asheville, North Carolina, exemplify the brand's commitment to community, growth, and employee development. As a dynamic and expanding company, Capstone Concepts is dedicated to fostering career advancement by promoting from within, offering competitive benefits and a supportive workplace culture.
The Restaurant Manager role at Capstone Concepts, specifically within its First Watch franchised restaurants, is a pivotal position that supports the General Manager in cultivating both restaurant management and hourly staff to drive sales growth, increase profitability, and uphold the exceptional standards of the First Watch brand. This role involves hands-on leadership, managing operations daily, and ensuring employee and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved without compromising the integrity or culture of the company. Managers are entrusted with the responsibility of delivering a superior customer experience while leading teams to maintain cleanliness, safety, financial accountability, and operational excellence.
Managers have the unique advantage of working in a daytime restaurant environment — no night shifts ever — allowing for a healthy work-life balance. The culture at First Watch emphasizes passion for morning service, teamwork, and growth opportunities. With a presence across key locations such as Knoxville, Johnson City, Chattanooga in Tennessee, and Asheville in North Carolina, the brand is continuing to expand with new restaurants planned for Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Training programs are a core part of the employee experience, with extensive focus provided during interviews and onboarding. The company encourages development through certifications of team members and continuous improvement practices. Candidates for management positions are expected to demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, proficiency in daily restaurant operations, budgeting, scheduling, and financial controls. This role requires a motivated leader who can multitask efficiently and solve problems proactively while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
The benefits package includes competitive pay, comprehensive training, opportunities for professional growth, and the elimination of night shifts, making it attractive for candidates who are passionate about the food service industry and want to grow within a supportive company structure. The physical demands of the role include standing and walking for most of the shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing various physical activities associated with restaurant operations.
If you thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment and are passionate about leading teams to achieve operational success, the Restaurant Manager position at First Watch with Capstone Concepts offers an exciting and rewarding career path.
