Job Description

Commonwealth Blue Ribbon Restaurants, LLC is a prominent franchisee of Famous Dave's of America, operating multiple restaurant locations in major metropolitan areas including Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia) region. Famous Dave's is celebrated as the longest-running backyard BBQ party in America, known widely for its authentic, in-house smoked meats, scratch kitchen, homemade sides and desserts, as well as handcrafted cocktails that echo the tradition and flavor of classic American BBQ. Unlike many other restaurant concepts that have been downsizing, this franchise group has impressively tripled its size over the past four years, demonstrating resilience and remarkable growth in the casual dining sector. The company emphasizes a culture that is energetic, fun-loving, and enthusiastic, inviting team members who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Famous Manager Role: The Famous Manager position is a dynamic leadership role focused on overseeing all facets of restaurant operations within the DMV market. This role involves managing multiple locations in Maryland and Virginia to ensure that every detail aligns with the brand's high standards of food quality, customer service, operational efficiency, and overall excellence. The Manager's responsibilities include achieving targeted sales and profit goals, maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and presentation, as well as fostering a positive and engaging workplace atmosphere. The core of this role is about setting the tone for each shift, leading by example, and inspiring staff to deliver “Famous Food and Outstanding Service.” The ideal candidate must be a proven leader, coach, mentor, and trainer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume, full-service casual dining environment and has at least three years of management experience in similar settings.

This position offers a fantastic career growth opportunity through an active, hands-on, 10-week management training program led by experienced professionals. The program immerses managers in real-world restaurant scenarios, focusing on leadership development, operational mastery, and excellence in guest service. Candidates for this role must be available to work across at least three of the DMV locations including Maryland’s Laurel, Columbia, and Waldorf, as well as Virginia's Alexandria, Oakton, and Woodbridge areas. The company offers a competitive starting salary ranging from $50,000 to $65,000 paired with achievable quarterly bonuses, comprehensive medical and dental insurance, paid vacation, 401K with matching contributions, and multiple reimbursements including uniforms, technology, health and wellness, and dining, alongside continuing education opportunities.

Joining Commonwealth Blue Ribbon Restaurants as a Famous Manager means becoming part of a vibrant family that prides itself on authentic BBQ flavors and outstanding guest experiences. This is more than just a job—it is an opportunity to be a key player in a rapidly growing franchise group, gaining valuable skills while leading a motivated team dedicated to keeping the spirit of American BBQ alive and thriving.
