Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a renowned American restaurant and gift shop chain that has been a beloved part of the dining and retail landscape since its founding in 1969. Known for its warm hospitality, delicious Southern-inspired cuisine, and unique retail offerings, Cracker Barrel offers guests more than just a meal—it's a place to gather, reconnect, and enjoy a welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of home. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel prides itself on fostering a culture where guests and employees alike feel valued and respected. The company emphasizes a people-first approach, making every interaction meaningful and memorable. It has become a trusted destination for families and travelers seeking comfort food served with genuine care and attention in a setting rich with tradition and charm.

The role of Restaurant Manager at Cracker Barrel goes beyond managing day-to-day operations; it is about leading through example and cultivating an environment where both team members and guests feel appreciated. As a Restaurant Manager, you will oversee both front-of-house and back-of-house functions to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations. This leadership position entails coaching and developing the team, managing inventory, and guaranteeing that the exceptional guest experience that Cracker Barrel is known for continues to thrive. The role requires balancing operational excellence with a passion for people, demonstrating a commitment to hospitality that fills every moment with warmth and authenticity.

This full-time position requires working approximately 50 hours a week, typically five 10-hour shifts, including holidays and weekends as needed. Candidates should have 2-5+ years of successful restaurant management experience, preferably including at least one year with Cracker Barrel. A valid driver's license is also necessary. The pay range for this role is $19.23 to $23.53 per hour, complemented by a robust benefits package designed to support and reward the individual inside and outside of work.

Cracker Barrel provides extensive tools and training to empower Restaurant Managers to lead effectively. The leadership qualities sought include the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure, a genuine care for employees and guests, and a talent for inspiring team collaboration during busy shifts. This role is ideal for a leader who believes in the team effort required to deliver true country hospitality and who seeks a long-term career path within a company that values internal development; over 90 percent of general manager and district manager roles are filled internally. Joining Cracker Barrel means stepping into a culture of belonging where onboarding, continuous training, and recognition programs ensure that team members thrive and grow professionally while sharing unforgettable moments with guests.
