Job Description
Carrabba's Italian Grill is a renowned restaurant chain known for its authentic Italian cuisine crafted from family recipes passed down through generations. The restaurant prides itself on creating fresh, handmade dishes prepared to order in a vibrant exhibition kitchen. Featuring a unique wood-burning grill inspired by Italy's diverse flavors, Carrabba's offers signature dishes such as Chicken Bryan, Pollo Rosa Maria, Wood-Fire Grilled Steaks and Chops, as well as a variety of small plates and classic Italian pasta dishes. The welcoming and contemporary atmosphere attracts a diverse clientele who appreciate quality food, exceptional service, and a memorable dining experience. As a part of Bloomin' Brands, Inc., a leader in casual dining, Carrabba's upholds high standards of hospitality and food excellence while fostering a dynamic and supportive work environment for its team members.
The Restaurant Manager role at Carrabba’s Italian Grill is a hands-on leadership position instrumental in managing both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations daily. This position drives the business forward by combining effective team building with strong business acumen and a passion for hospitality. The manager ensures the restaurant operates smoothly and profitably while cultivating a fun, motivated, and growth-focused workplace culture. Key responsibilities include adhering to high-quality employee standards by developing and holding team members accountable, engaging in community events to become the neighborhood restaurant of choice, and leading initiatives that increase sales, enhance profitability, and grow the guest count.
The role demands pride in food quality, operating within a scratch kitchen environment using the freshest ingredients, while maintaining fiscal responsibility through effective ordering, inventory control, and understanding the impact on profit and loss (P&L). Enforcing safety and sanitary standards and embodying the company’s principles and beliefs by exercising sound judgment and decision-making are also vital components of the manager’s duties. Carrabba’s Restaurant Managers not only create an environment where employees, or "micos," are valued and supported but also offer avenues for career growth within the company.
To thrive in this role, candidates need a minimum of three years of salaried restaurant management experience, preferably in a Full Casual Dining or Casual Plus environment, with hands-on exposure to both FOH and BOH operations. Familiarity with scratch kitchen practices is a strong advantage. Flexibility to work varied schedules and legal authorization to work in the United States (minimum age of 21) are mandatory. Bilingual skills and willingness to relocate are considered pluses. Carrabba’s rewards dedication and strong leadership with a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive suite of benefits. Professional development opportunities for advancement into higher management or corporate support roles underscore the company’s commitment to employee growth. The company culture is positive, fast-paced, and inclusive, encouraging leaders who are entrepreneurial, team-oriented, and ready to embrace change and challenge with a sense of urgency.
