Job Description

Pacific Catch, Inc. is a renowned restaurant brand that prides itself on delivering exceptional dining experiences through first-class service and unparalleled hospitality. Established with a commitment to sustainable practices and ocean-friendly values, Pacific Catch attracts and nurtures a team of dedicated individuals who align with the company’s core values, hospitality standards, and team member expectations. The culture at Pacific Catch emphasizes inclusiveness, growth, and the pursuit of excellence, providing a fun and supportive environment for all team members. The success of the restaurants and the brand as a whole is closely linked to the quality and dedication of its people, making every team member’s role crucial to maintaining high service standards and a positive guest experience.

The role of Front of House (FOH) Team Leader at Pacific Catch is designed for experienced restaurant leaders who are passionate about hospitality and driven to inspire and mentor a dynamic team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the FOH Team Leader is a full-time position that involves working a 40-hour week with additional overtime based on business needs. This role demands a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and who can provide effective direction and support to the FOH staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.

A day in the life of a FOH Team Leader includes managing restaurant operations within company policies, ensuring fast and accurate service, and fostering polite, positive guest interactions. The leader acts as the face of the restaurant by engaging guests, introducing menu offerings, and facilitating seamless ordering processes. They also handle inventory, cash control procedures, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining environment, including both indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Crucially, the FOH Team Leader addresses guest complaints with professionalism and sensitivity, aiming to resolve issues amicably and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction. The role also encompasses completing various operational, administrative, and human resources tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to keep the restaurant running efficiently.

Pacific Catch seeks candidates who bring at least four years of full-service restaurant hospitality experience, including two years in management, ideally within innovative, high-volume restaurant chains. Successful candidates will have demonstrated expertise in training and mentoring hourly employees, possess strong technological skills including proficiency with MS Office, Google Apps, Toast POS, and other handheld devices, and demonstrate an understanding of social media tools. An understanding of profit and loss statements with a keen eye for sales improvement and cost management is essential.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand and move actively for periods up to five hours, with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. The role demands high personal standards and the ability to lead by example, with a special emphasis on passion for environmental sustainability, particularly ocean protection. Pacific Catch offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, employee discounts, and paid time off, reinforcing their commitment to supporting the well-being and growth of their team members.
