California Pizza Kitchen is currently seeking a passionate and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead its team in delivering an unparalleled guest experience while maintaining operational excellence. As a Restaurant Manager at CPK, you will be at the forefront of the restaurant’s success, directly influencing team performance, guest satisfaction, and financial outcomes.
This role is integral in building and inspiring a dynamic, hospitality-driven team, emphasizing people-first leadership to strengthen CPK's renowned culture. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing your team members to promote career advancement and cross-functional skills. Your leadership will help elevate culinary and service execution to maintain the high standards guests expect from CPK. Financial stewardship is a critical component of this position — you will manage the restaurant’s profit and loss statements, prepare budgets, forecast sales, control labor costs, and practice portion controls to optimize profitability. Effective communication skills will be essential as you engage with employees, guests, suppliers, and senior management.
CPK provides a comprehensive eight-week training program, combining online modules, book materials, and hands-on shoulder-to-shoulder teaching to ensure managers are equipped with strong operational, leadership, and service skills. The company’s unique learning platform, "The Proof," supports ongoing development and engagement. Additionally, the environment encourages managers to bring their authentic selves to work while enjoying perks such as all the pizza they can eat, meal benefits during shifts, and a Management Dine-Out card for personal use with family and friends. Your daily responsibilities will include cultivating a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing sanitation standards, building sales and guest counts, and continuously striving to improve operational processes and team dynamics. Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years FOH management experience in a high volume, faced paced restaurant
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
- Exceptional leadership skills – ability to motivate, inspire and develop a team
- Passionate about execution, hospitality and service
