The Restaurant Manager role at Texas Roadhouse is a critical position responsible for overseeing both Front of House and Back of House operations in the restaurant. The manager ensures that both legendary food quality and service standards are consistently met, enhancing guest satisfaction and driving sales. This position offers an annual salary ranging from $50,000 to $70,000 and is an excellent opportunity for experienced restaurant professionals who have a passion for customer service and kitchen operations. The Restaurant Manager plays a pivotal role in leading, motivating, and developing the team, managing daily restaurant activities, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and upholding security and operational procedures.

In this role, the Restaurant Manager manages hourly employees, conducts performance evaluations, and oversees coaching and disciplinary actions when necessary. Responsibilities include recruiting and hiring team members, scheduling shifts, and assigning tasks efficiently to meet the restaurant's operational needs. They drive sales initiatives and ensure every guest receives exceptional service. Providing training for both front-line and kitchen staff is another essential component, ensuring team members are knowledgeable and competent in their roles.

The manager supervises food production and preparation, enforcing recipes and quality standards, and performs formal taste and temperature assessments to maintain compliance with company expectations. They also implement security measures to maintain a safe environment for employees and guests. Managing inventory and food costs through weekly checks helps sustain financial performance, while adherence to safe food handling procedures mitigates risk and supports health regulations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Knowledge of restaurant software and point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Manage hourly employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching and discipline
  • Reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring or making recommendation to hire hourly employees
  • Directing work for employees including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before, during, and after open hours of the restaurant
  • Driving sales, steps of service, and guest satisfaction
  • Providing, directing, and scheduling Front of House and Back of House training
  • Supervise and oversee the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • Conducting formal line Taste & Temps
  • Enforcing appropriate security measures at the restaurant so that the safety of our employees and guests are maintained at all times
  • Manage food, supplies, and liquor costs by conducting weekly inventory
  • Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures
  • Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment for the staff in a manner consistent with our core values and operational goals
