Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of post-high school education
  • Two plus years of full employment in a related position
  • Preferred hotel experience
  • Knowledge of restaurant and hotel practices
  • Strong management and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze information and make decisions
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and planning
  • Leadership to motivate and develop staff
  • Strong organizational and delegation abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines

Job Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of restaurant and hotel practices and procedures
  • Strong supervision, management and communication skills
  • Ability to investigate, analyze information and make logical conclusions
  • Knowledge of hotel operations including marketing plans, security, personnel relations, and budget forecasting
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff
  • Ability to set priorities, plan, organize and delegate

  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences

Job Duties

  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and room service for breakfast, lunch and dinner periods
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the bar operations
  • Manage the Human Resources in the various outlets in order to attract, retain and motivate the associates
  • Interview, hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel employees
  • Conduct performance and salary reviews
  • Resolve problems, provide open communications and recommend discipline and termination as appropriate
  • Implement company programs and manage the operations of the Restaurant, Room Service and any other food and beverage outlet to ensure compliance with policies, safety regulations and laws
  • Forecast, implement, monitor, control and report on outlet budgets and their components to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
  • Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience
  • Create, recommend and implement promotions, displays and buffet presentations to capture more in-house guests
  • Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of the various outlet areas and equipment
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
