Job Description
This job posting is for a position within a restaurant that is owned and operated by an independent franchisee. Unlike corporate positions at Jack in the Box Inc., this role is directly managed by the independent franchisee, meaning the franchisee will be your employer if you are hired. This arrangement emphasizes a locally managed work environment where the franchisee is responsible for all employment-related decisions including hiring, firing, discipline, wages, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.
The restaurant operates under the Jack in the Box brand, which is known for its fast-food service offering menu items such as burgers, tacos, breakfast items, and other quick-service meals tailored to customer preferences. Working in this environment means being part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service efficiently. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting where teamwork, communication, and customer interaction skills are highly valued. The franchise model offers a unique experience where you can engage with the community, understand localized business operations, and develop your skills in a restaurant setting that may be more flexible and personable than larger corporate chains.
This role will require flexibility, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to collaborate with diverse team members. Employment terms, including wages and scheduling, are determined by the franchisee, which may vary depending on the location and specific franchise practices. This position is ideal for individuals looking for entry-level jobs in the food service industry, as well as those seeking career opportunities in restaurant management under a local franchise owner. Moreover, working under an independent franchise allows for potential growth opportunities within the franchisee’s multiple locations. It also supports building a strong foundation in food safety standards, order accuracy, and efficient service practices that align with Jack in the Box's nationally recognized brand standards.
