The Restaurant Line Cook - Grill, Carve, Bowls role at Urban Plates is a crucial position on the "Hot Side" of the kitchen line. This role primarily focuses on preparing, producing, and serving visually appealing, high-quality foods in various stations such as Bowls, Carve/Grill, Soup, and Braise. The line cook is responsible for ensuring that all food items meet Urban Plates’ stringent recipes and procedures, guaranteeing consistent quality and presentation to satisfy customer expectations. This role requires someone with excellent guest service and interpersonal skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a high-volume, dynamic environment with high energy. Maintaining a clean, professional, and presentable appearance while embodying the company’s core values and Five Promises of a Great Team Member is essential.
With a pay range of $16.50 to $17.50 per hour plus average tips ranging from $5.00 to $5.63 per hour, Urban Plates not only offers competitive compensation but also a generous 75% discount on meals for team members. - uphold food safety and sanitation standards
- provide excellent guest service and interact positively with customers
- communicate effectively with team members and management
