Job Description
Raising Cane's is a renowned fast-food restaurant chain specializing in chicken finger meals. Established with a commitment to quality, consistency, and a unique dining experience, Raising Cane's has grown to become a prominent player in the casual dining sector. The company prides itself on a strong culture focused on exceptional customer service, rigorous food safety standards, and a team-oriented work environment that fosters growth and professional development.
Raising Cane's is currently seeking a highly motivated Restaurant Leader to drive the strategic direction and overall success of their restaurant. This leadership role involves maintaining the highest operations standards, driving profitability, and fostering growth through effective people development. The Restaurant Leader plays a critical role in representing the Raising Cane's brand, teaching, modeling, and upholding its core culture standards among crewmembers, customers, and partners alike.
Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, the Restaurant Leader will oversee activities that require extended physical exertion, such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending. The role also necessitates managing interactions with customers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the facility operates smoothly under varied temperature conditions. In addition, the Restaurant Leader must navigate a working environment that includes food products, common allergens, commercial cleaning products, and industrial equipment, consistently applying necessary safety measures including personal protective equipment.
Key responsibilities include overseeing financial performance through forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring profit and loss statements; ensuring compliance with company policies, standards, and relevant laws; and managing human resources functions such as hiring, training, and terminating staff members. The Restaurant Leader will be directly involved in creating work and training schedules, conducting performance management especially for management-level crewmembers, and being the manager on duty with responsibilities for opening and closing operations and cash handling.
The role demands exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple shifting priorities in a dynamic restaurant setting. It requires self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic individuals with strong analytical abilities as well as effective written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate must work efficiently and collaboratively, demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence to measure and manage performance objectively and subjectively.
Technology plays an important role in daily operations, so proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook is necessary, along with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems. Given the nature of the restaurant industry, the Restaurant Leader must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and travel as required for training or work-related functions. This role also serves as a brand ambassador, representing Raising Cane's professionally both inside and outside the restaurant.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of restaurant or retail management experience with a preference for experience in new restaurant openings and local restaurant marketing. A minimum educational requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary, though some college education is preferred. Additionally, candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
The Restaurant Leader position offers a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 per year. At Raising Cane's, employees enjoy a range of perks, including flexible scheduling, paid time off for eligible employees, and closures on major holidays such as New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The company is dedicated to supporting its team members through a comprehensive benefits package and a positive, growth-focused work culture.
