Job Description
Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain specializing exclusively in chicken finger meals. Known for its distinct "One Love" philosophy that emphasizes quality, Raising Cane's has carved a niche in the competitive fast-food industry by focusing on delivering craveable meals paired with exceptional customer service. As the fastest-growing chicken concept in the United States, Raising Cane's is on a trajectory to become one of the top 10 restaurant brands nationwide. The company prides itself on its vibrant crew and dynamic culture that upholds the mantra: Work Hard. Have Fun. This culture is evident not only in daily operations but also in the rapid growth and enduring success the brand enjoys.
The Restaurant Leader role at Raising Cane's is pivotal to the operational and financial success of each location. Functioning as the strategic visionary and operational manager of their assigned restaurant, the Restaurant Leader ensures that every aspect of the restaurant aligns with Raising Cane's high standards and company policies. This leadership position comes with competitive compensation that starts from a base salary between $76,000 and $90,000 annually, supplemented by eligibility for a Restaurant Monthly Incentive Program. This incentive can substantially enhance the total target cash compensation, reaching between $106,000 and $120,000 based on restaurant profitability, location, experience, and individual qualifications.
Within this role, the Restaurant Leader is entrusted with motivating and developing crew members, maintaining strict adherence to compliance and safety standards, driving sales and profitability, and acting as the face of Raising Cane's to both employees and customers. The role demands hands-on participation in daily activities in a fast-paced kitchen environment, requiring physical exertion such as standing, walking, lifting, and bending. This environment also involves working both indoors and outdoors, handling food products with potential allergens, and using commercial-grade equipment while ensuring personal protective measures are met.
Leadership responsibilities include forecasting and budgeting to ensure financial targets are met, hiring and managing management-level staff, scheduling, performance management, and being actively involved as a manager on duty, including opening and closing the restaurant and overseeing cash handling procedures. The Restaurant Leader is also responsible for monitoring profit and loss statements and devising strategies to enhance financial and operational performance. Beyond these duties, the leader enforces Raising Cane’s policies, manages the deployment of crew members during shifts, delivers exemplary service, and fosters an environment that rewards and recognizes outstanding employee contributions.
Candidates who succeed in this role are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic setting. They must possess strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively. Problem-solving skills, high emotional intelligence, proficiency in Microsoft Office and other technology systems, and flexibility regarding work shifts are essential. The company values a passion for leadership within the restaurant or retail industry, as demonstrated through a minimum of five years of management experience, preferably accompanied by experience in new restaurant openings and local marketing efforts.
Raising Cane's offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time Restaurant Managers, including medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy insurance, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts for dependent care and healthcare, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching for employees aged 21 and older. Additional perks include access to financial advisors, a gym membership program, tuition reimbursement, an employee assistance program, pet insurance, competitive pay with weekly bonuses, paid time off, sick leave, paid holidays, casual work attire, and special employee discount programs. Weekly pay is standard, with some exceptions based on location.
This full-time position represents an excellent opportunity for dedicated leaders eager to grow within a thriving, fast-paced restaurant chain that prioritizes team culture, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. Embracing the Raising Cane's spirit means committing to raising the bar — both for personal career growth and for the success of the restaurant brand itself.
