Job Description

Raising Cane's is a renowned fast-food restaurant chain famous for its dedication to quality chicken finger meals and exceptional customer service. As a leader in the casual dining sector, Raising Cane's specializes in delivering a unique dining experience that combines delicious food with a strong sense of community and brand culture. Known for its commitment to both operational excellence and a lively, team-oriented work environment, the company continuously invests in the development and success of its staff. The organization fosters a culture that emphasizes respect, enthusiasm, and customer satisfaction, making it a preferred choice for both customers and employees.

The Restaurant Leader role at Raising Cane's is a pivotal management position responsible for driving the strategic direction of the restaurant. This position includes overseeing the operational standards while focusing on people development, sales growth, and profit optimization. The individual in this role is tasked with teaching, modeling, and consistently upholding Raising Cane's culture standards for all crewmembers, customers, and partners, ensuring every guest encounter aligns with the brand's high expectations.

Working in the Restaurant Leader role requires managing a fast-paced kitchen environment that demands physical stamina, including extended periods of walking, standing, lifting, and bending. The work environment varies in temperature and involves handling food products, common allergens, industrial equipment, and commercial cleaning products, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment to ensure safety and compliance.

The core purpose of this position includes ensuring the restaurant's overall financial success through accurate forecasting and budgeting, maintaining compliance with company standards and legal requirements, hiring and managing management-level employees and crewmembers, as well as creating effective work and training schedules. The Restaurant Leader also leads performance management initiatives to develop management-level staff and assumes responsibilities such as acting as the manager on duty, opening and closing the restaurant, and overseeing cash handling.

Additionally, this role entails monitoring financial reports, applying strategic measures to enhance financial and operational performance, enforcing company policies, and utilizing essential tools, forms, and logs that support shift execution and corrective actions. Deployment of crewmembers during shifts, providing exemplary customer service, motivating teams through rewards and recognition programs, authorizing employee functions requiring manager approval, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance of the facility, achieving training restaurant status, and meeting or exceeding operational and crewmember performance metrics are all integral duties of the Restaurant Leader.

This role offers an annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000, reflective of the responsibilities and the qualifications required to succeed. The position is ideal for highly organized and detail-oriented individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to operational excellence and team development. Flexible scheduling including days, evenings, and weekends, as well as travel for work-related training, are part of the job expectations. Raising Cane's also prioritizes work-life balance, demonstrated by closing on major holidays including New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Paid time off is available based on service eligibility, contributing to a supportive and rewarding workplace environment.
