Job Description

Raising Cane's is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in high-quality chicken finger meals. Known for its dedication to exceptional customer service and a unique dining experience, Raising Cane's has established a strong presence across the United States and continues to expand. The company emphasizes a vibrant culture built on respect, teamwork, and a passion for excellence, making it a premier destination for both guests and employees alike. With a commitment to quality and community involvement, Raising Cane's actively fosters an environment where both customers and team members feel valued and appreciated.

The Restaurant Leader role at Raising Cane's is a pivotal leadership position responsible for setting the strategic direction of a restaurant to ensure outstanding operational standards, sales growth, and financial success. This full-time position offers an annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 and provides a robust work environment that demands physical stamina, leadership capability, and a strong customer focus. The Restaurant Leader will engage in a fast-paced kitchen and front-of-house environment that requires extended physical exertion such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending, as well as effective interaction with customers and crew members.

In this role, the Restaurant Leader will be expected to uphold and promote Raising Cane's culture standards, ensuring that all crewmembers, customers, and partners experience the brand's hospitality values. They are entrusted with maintaining compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and relevant laws while managing the restaurant's profitability through careful forecasting, budgeting, and strategy execution. The Restaurant Leader will lead by example, providing direction in recruiting, hiring, training, and performance management of both management-level employees and crewmembers.

Additionally, they must ensure the cleanliness and functionality of the restaurant facility, oversee cash handling, open and close the restaurant, and serve as the manager on duty during shifts. This leadership role requires creating effective work and training schedules, recognizing and rewarding crewmembers through the company’s reward and recognition program, and handling other managerial responsibilities such as authorizing discounts and timeclock overrides. The Restaurant Leader plays an essential role in deploying crewmembers during shifts to provide exemplary customer service and ensure a smooth operation.

This position demands flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends, and may require travel for training or work-related functions. Success in this role depends on strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple dynamic priorities, high emotional intelligence, and proficiency with technology systems including Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate is self-driven, highly energetic, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. They must possess a deep understanding of the restaurant and retail management landscape, preferably with experience in new restaurant openings and local marketing initiatives.

Raising Cane's offers eight paid holidays during which the restaurant is closed for non-mall locations, including key dates such as New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Easter, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. This comprehensive benefits approach underscores the company’s respect for work-life balance and dedication to employee wellbeing.

Overall, the Restaurant Leader at Raising Cane's is a critical figure in delivering the brand's promise, driving financial performance, developing team members, and maintaining an outstanding dining experience for customers. This role is a unique opportunity for an experienced restaurant management professional to contribute to and grow with one of the most respected brands in the fast-casual restaurant industry.
