Ticketmaster stands as the global event ticketing leader, delivering nearly 455 million tickets sold across over 145,000 events in 21 countries, serving more than 12,000 clients. Live Nation Concerts is the largest provider of live entertainment globally, producing nearly 23,000 shows annually for over 2,700 artists in 33 countries. Artist Nation Management is recognized as one of the world’s leading artist management companies, representing approximately 280 artists worldwide. These businesses together power Live Nation Media & Sponsorship which provides music marketing programs across 750 brands, giving advertisers access to the 59 million fans Live Nation Entertainment reaches each year through its live event and digital platforms.
HOB Entertainment, a division of Live Nation Entertainment, specializes in providing exceptional club venues across the nation. The House of Blues venues are celebrated for their diverse live music offerings encompassing Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Rock en Español, Blues, Jazz, Reggae, and Pop genres. Additionally, these venues are famed for their unique southern-style cuisine, a juke-joint inspired atmosphere, and the renowned World Famous Gospel Brunch. This combination offers guests a rich cultural experience blending music, dining, and atmosphere.
The role of a Host at House of Blues is a pivotal position that involves meeting, greeting, and seating guests with a genuine, positive, and friendly demeanor. The Host serves as a frontline ambassador of the House of Blues brand and culture, ensuring every guest receives a memorable and high-quality experience. Hosts assist in all aspects of Host Stand Operations and manage guest flow efficiently while maintaining cordiality at all times.
As a Host, you will be responsible for controlling the guest flow into the restaurant, accurately estimating wait times using the HOB reservation system, and assisting guests by seating them at appropriate tables while providing necessary information. You will act as a knowledgeable resource about the venue's offerings, including current and upcoming shows, menu items, retail merchandise, related art, music, and House of Blues history. This role demands a proactive approach to guest satisfaction, requiring anticipation and timely responses to all guest needs.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host area is also critical, as is regular communication with other staff, including door hosts, kitchen personnel, and the Manager on Duty, to ensure smooth operations especially during special events or when hosting large parties. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, with work shifts potentially spanning days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The work environment is fast-paced and often loud, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks safely.
This position offers the opportunity to be part of a vibrant team that values innovation, resourcefulness, and commitment. If you are passionate about live entertainment, guest services, and being part of a dynamic culture, the Host position at House of Blues provides a rewarding career path with a globally recognized leader in live entertainment.
