The Broadmoor is a prestigious and renowned Five-Star, Five-Diamond resort located in Colorado, famous for its luxury accommodations, exceptional service, and rich history. Established over a century ago, The Broadmoor has become a symbol of hospitality excellence, setting the standard for luxury resorts worldwide. It provides a unique blend of high-end amenities, beautiful landscapes, a variety of dining experiences, and a commitment to delivering an unforgettable guest experience. As a longstanding leader in the hospitality industry, The Broadmoor takes pride in fostering a culture of family, community, and professional growth for its employees, making it more than just a workplace but a place where careers and personal development flourish. The resort offers a diverse and inclusive work environment where team members are empowered to embody the resort's distinguished service standards and create meaningful connections with guests from around the world.
The role of Restaurant Host/Hostess at The Broadmoor is integral to maintaining the resort's reputation for excellence in food and beverage service. This position involves welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism, efficiently managing seating arrangements, and handling reservations using the resort's computer reservation system. The Host/Hostess acts as the first point of contact in the dining experience, setting the tone for guest interactions by providing exceptional hospitality and upholding the Broadmoor's renowned standards of excellence. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring every guest feels valued and attended to from arrival to departure.
Compensation for this role ranges from $16.00 to $23.00 per hour, inclusive of the base wage plus service charge commission, which fluctuates seasonally and based on events, generally adding $2.00 to $10.00 per hour. Importantly, employees always earn at least the current Colorado minimum wage, which offers wage security. The Host/Hostess is also responsible for administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing dining reservations, addressing guest requests, assisting with training new team members, and maintaining workstation organization. This position involves collaboration with the broader Food and Beverage team to ensure all guests receive a seamless and high-quality dining experience.
The Broadmoor values individuals who are enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic, with the ability to work well alongside others in a team-oriented environment. Candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience are preferred but not mandatory. The resort encourages applicants who are committed to learning and delivering five-star service, even if they do not meet all qualification requirements, highlighting The Broadmoor's dedication to workforce development and inclusivity. Working at The Broadmoor offers more than just competitive pay; it provides an opportunity to be part of a legacy of excellence, professional growth, and comprehensive employee benefits. Joining the team means becoming an ambassador of a world-leading hospitality brand, dedicated to providing guests with exceptional and memorable experiences every day.
