Job Description
Levy is a distinguished leader in the food, beverage, and retail industry, renowned for delivering unparalleled dining experiences across more than 200 entertainment, sports, and restaurant venues in the United States. Founded over 40 years ago in Chicago as a delicatessen, Levy has grown into a powerhouse brand that emphasizes creativity, customer service, and quality dining for a diverse clientele. The company is part of Compass Group USA, a global provider of food services that believes in fostering diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunities. Levy prides itself on offering competitive wages, career growth opportunities, and a supportive work environment where each team member’s contribution is valued. The position of Host/Hostess at the Motor Bar & Restaurant in the iconic Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI, offers candidates a unique opportunity to join a prestigious venue that combines heritage and modern dining. This role is essential in creating a memorable guest experience, ensuring that every patron is welcomed warmly and directed expertly to their appropriate seating. With a pay range from $14.00 to $16.00 per hour, employees enjoy not only attractive financial compensation but also numerous perks like Instapay for early wage access and a high-interest savings opportunity through the EVEN app. The Motor Bar & Restaurant is a vibrant place where team members collaborate to create a safe, clean, and inviting atmosphere for guests. The Host/Hostess plays a pivotal role in managing dining room seating arrangements with exceptional communication skills, friendliness, and a genuine interest in people. The role extends beyond greeting guests; it involves handling customer service issues diplomatically, training new team members, and ensuring compliance with food handling, safety, and sanitation standards. Additionally, the position includes supervisory responsibilities, such as overseeing food-service associates, managing the dining room’s closing operations, and executing emergency safety procedures when necessary. This multifaceted role demands flexibility, patience, and a high level of sensitivity when dealing with confidential information. The job also offers occasional service duties like bussing tables and assisting with food service, keeping safety and sanitation paramount. Underpinning these responsibilities is Levy’s commitment to a safe working environment and a supportive culture that encourages employees to thrive. Prospective candidates seeking not just a job but a career path where their skills are nurtured and valued will find Levy to be an ideal employer. As part of Compass Group, Levy extends equal opportunities to all applicants and employees, promoting a workplace free from discrimination based on race, national origin, sex, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other legally protected classification. The company supports continuous improvement, employee assistance, and wellness programs that greatly enhance the working experience. Joining Levy at the Motor Bar & Restaurant means becoming part of a professional team driven by passion, excellent service, and the power of great food to bring people together. If you enjoy engaging with people, have a strong service orientation, and want to grow in a dynamic and rewarding environment, this Host/Hostess position is an excellent opportunity to consider.
