The available role is a Restaurant Supervisor position, vital to maintaining the high standards the Loews Nashville Hotel upholds in its dining services. This supervisory role is responsible for overseeing restaurant operations in the absence of the manager, ensuring smooth and efficient service that meets the expectations of the hotel's diverse clientele. Key responsibilities include managing the reservation book, greeting and seating guests with professionalism, and maintaining detailed guest records to personalize service and enhance repeat visits. The Restaurant Supervisor must assign workstations and side work for the team, inspect dining and service areas before and after meal periods, and ensure adherence to cleanliness and operational standards.

This role requires a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual capable of multitasking and leading by example. The supervisor acts as a critical liaison among servers, assistants, and management to ensure that dining room activities run seamlessly. They are charged with monitoring guest needs, managing seating assignments, and coordinating with staff to address any special requests or service challenges promptly.   • previous supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality industry

Job Duties

  • Supervises restaurant activities in absence of manager
  • controls reservation book, accepts reservations and enters them accurately into the record
  • maintains guest history files and uses information to enhance repeat guests experience
  • assigns work stations and pre-meal side work, inspects dining room and service areas to ensure completion of all tasks prior to start of meal period
  • maintains guest records to record arrival, cover count, seat assignment, turnover, availability
  • inspects menus to ensure cleanliness and acceptability
  • greets guests in a polite professional manner
