Job Requirements
- Must have a high level of mobility and flexibility in space provided
- Must be able to work under heavy stress and pressure during busy times
- Must be able to use telephone
- Must be able to communicate with guests, co-workers, and managers in a friendly manner
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in customer service or hospitality is an advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively and warmly with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Friendly and approachable demeanor
- Commitment to excellent customer service
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests as they arrive and show them to their seats
- Make a friendly first impression and describe daily features and specials such as soup of the day
- Check out guests at the register and take cash payments
- Ask guests for feedback on their meal and service and thank them
- Invite guests to return to the restaurant
- Move through the dining room regularly to ensure guests have all needed items and make them feel special
- Offer specific suggestions for take-out bakery items and efficiently package to-go orders
- Ensure that the cashier area, bakery cases, displays, lobby area, entryway, guest restrooms, and dining room stay clean throughout the shift
