Job Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Possesses speed, accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to oversee the efficient seating and scheduling of dinner guests
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work as a team with entire floor staff and kitchen staff ensuring timely, efficient service
- Ability to work in high pressure environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of point of sale system helpful
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant host role preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Oversee and assist in maintaining cleanliness of outlet
- Ensure coverage of the entrance, greeting arriving guests and thanking those that are leaving
- Assist with special event set-up, such as skirting buffet or inserting menu cards
- Check reservations in book and assign table numbers
- Ensure availability for resort guests
- Call to confirm large parties
- Check schedule and staffing levels
- Check all menus for cleanliness and accuracy
- Answer the telephone, take reservations and give directions to restaurant
- Maintain waiting list, select table and escort guests to the table
- Resolve guest problems whenever possible and involve manager when necessary
- Answer questions regarding menu items
- Schedule reservations according to established procedures
- Bring guests' needs to the attention of appropriate dining room staff or management
- Complete daily labor report
- Check reservations in book and IG, and assign table numbers
- Ensure availability for resort guests
- Check IG for reservations and maintain waves
- Call to confirm large parties and schedule reservations according to established procedures
- Maintain waiting list, select table and escort guests to the table
- Take the guests' food and drink orders when business necessitates
- Monitor alcohol consumption and behavior of guests alerting a manager of any intoxicated or questionable guests
- Observe guests' progress and respond in a timely way to their needs
- Clean up spills immediately
- Set-up and break down special events, to include moving tables, chairs and other furniture as necessary
- Remove used dishes and maintain tables during meal by replacing utensils as necessary and refolding napkins
- Follow Pebble Beach Company cash handling policies and procedures
- Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety, health and general policies and procedures
