The company’s portfolio is diverse and includes award-winning hotels and resorts, premier residential communities, restaurants and bars, private and public golf clubs, conference centers, and distinctive venues. The organization operates under core values of accountability, creativity, enthusiasm, honesty, inclusion, and respect, driving a people-first philosophy that emphasizes trust, open hearts, and mutual support among its team members. Columbia Hospitality strives to create an inclusive atmosphere where fresh perspectives and diverse ideas are welcomed, ensuring that every team member can grow professionally and personally.

The role of Restaurant Host at The Shed, located within The SOMM Hotel and Spa in Woodinville, Washington, plays a pivotal role in shaping first impressions for guests entering the dining establishment. The Shed is situated in a premier luxury hotel that serves as the centerpiece of a 20-acre master-planned development known as Harvest. With 164 rooms and extensive amenities including a signature restaurant, rooftop bar, 10,000 square feet of meeting spaces, a 5,661-square-foot spa, and additional retail space featuring wine-tasting rooms and other dining options, The SOMM Hotel and Spa is a landmark destination blending upscale comfort with the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

As a Restaurant Host, you will be responsible for greeting and seating guests in a warm, efficient, and professional manner that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. You will manage reservations, accurately communicate wait times, maintain wait lists, and coordinate with waitstaff to ensure a smooth flow of service throughout the restaurant. This role requires you to provide supportive service to the team by helping maintain menu organization and ensuring that guests receive attentive and timely attention. The shift schedule demands weekend availability and it is preferable for candidates to have prior food service experience alongside the necessary State Food Handler’s License.

In return for your valuable contributions, you will receive an hourly wage of $17.32 along with eligibility for tips and tip pooling. Additionally, you have the unique opportunity to get paid daily, making any day a payday. The benefits package includes paid time off, holiday pay, medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance, 401K retirement plans, and employer contributions to HSA and FSA plans. Employees enjoy a values-based culture that embraces authentic diversity, offers referral bonuses, discounted lodging, dining, spa, golf, and retail experiences, and access to an employee assistance program. There are also volunteer and committee participation opportunities and an online learning platform designed to support your career growth.

Columbia Hospitality is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and encourages candidates who may not meet every requirement to apply. The company values empathy, respect, and an inclusive mindset, pledging to make every team member feel valued and supported while ensuring that guests receive the highest level of hospitality.
