As part of a well-established hospitality environment, we strive to deliver not only exquisite cuisine but also a welcoming atmosphere that enhances every guest's visit. Our establishment emphasizes attention to detail, quality standards, and personalized service to ensure guests enjoy memorable dining occasions. We cater to a diverse clientele who expect the highest standards of operations and guest relations, making our team members integral to sustaining our reputation and success.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Host to join our team for AM, Lunch, and PM shifts. This role is pivotal as it serves as the first point of contact for our guests, embodying warmth, professionalism, and efficiency. The Host is responsible for greeting guests courteously, managing reservations, seating guests appropriately, and maintaining service flow in accordance with existing standards. The position involves answering phone calls professionally, providing accurate information about the restaurant and hotel operations, and assisting with general inquiries. The ideal candidate is someone who anticipates guests' needs, responds promptly, and fosters a positive environment that enhances guest satisfaction and repeat visits.
The Host must maintain cleanliness and organization within the service areas, adhering to departmental procedures and safety protocols. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and the occasional lifting of light weights, reflecting the active nature of the position. A valid San Diego County Food Handlers Card is required, and experience in upscale restaurant settings is highly preferred. The role offers an hourly wage of $20 plus tips and gratuities, with total earnings ranging between $25 and $29 per hour, highlighting the attractive earning potential linked with excellent service performance.
This position does not involve travel and requires strong communication skills in English, both for guest interactions and coordination with vendors and staff. Candidates should be able to work cohesively with teammates and follow direction precisely to ensure smooth operations. Certifications related to food and alcohol service, as well as CPR training, are desirable and contribute positively to the candidate's qualifications.
Joining our team means participating in a culture that values safety, community involvement, and environmental sustainability. We support continuous learning and development and encourage employees to engage actively in our safety programs and community initiatives. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about hospitality, eager to provide outstanding guest experiences, and ready to grow within a respected and supportive work environment.
