Job Description
Timbers Company is a distinguished developer and operator of boutique hotels, residence clubs, and resort communities situated in some of the most coveted destinations worldwide. Renowned for blending world-class hospitality with the authentic charm of each unique location, Timbers Company crafts exceptional experiences for its owners and guests alike. The company's latest venture, the Beach House restaurant, is set along the serene Gulf coast on the stunning Captiva Island, Florida. This 330-acre retreat doubles as a wildlife nature preserve, offering guests a refined coastal escape equipped with top-tier amenities and a welcoming ambiance conducive to relaxation and enjoyment. Captiva Island has been a beloved destination for generations, and the South Seas resort – a jewel within this paradise – continues to define the quintessential vacation experience for many families. At the heart of this enchanting location is a dedicated team fueled by passion and a commitment to excellence, inviting professionals to join them in delivering unparalleled hospitality where guests feel truly at home in a remarkable setting.
The Beach House restaurant host/hostess position plays a pivotal role as the first point of contact for guests entering this vibrant new venue on the Gulf. This full-time role, paying $20 per hour, places the individual in a frontline hospitality position where creating an inviting and seamless guest experience is paramount. The host/hostess sets the tone for the entire visit, from warmly welcoming guests to managing the flow of seating and maintaining a smooth operation throughout each service. Beyond greeting guests, the role encompasses answering phones, providing pertinent information, assisting in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and collaborating closely with restaurant staff and management during pre-shifts and service execution. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, bringing strong multitasking skills, excellent communication abilities, and a service mindset that makes each guest feel uniquely valued. This is a role for an authentic, humble team player who embodies the core values of the company: being authentic, practicing humility, cultivating teamwork, valuing time, and being trustworthy. Furthermore, this position offers a competitive salary alongside a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision plans, paid life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off and holidays, 401(k) matching, commuter programs, and complimentary shift meals. Joining Timbers Company means becoming part of a mission-driven hospitality family dedicated to creating memorable, fun experiences within an environment that respects and enhances the natural beauty of its surroundings.
