The company thrives on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for both its customers and staff, fostering a culture where teamwork and professionalism are paramount. Nordstrom's reputation for excellence is supported by its well-trained and motivated employees who embody the company’s core values of respect, integrity, and service excellence. This host/hostess position at Nordstrom plays a crucial role in shaping the overall customer experience within the restaurant component of the retail environment.

Beyond direct customer interaction, the host/hostess supports various operational tasks such as answering telephones, completing financial transactions, assisting with stock and cleanup, and documenting relevant activities. The benefits include medical, vision, dental, and retirement plans, paid time off, life insurance, disability coverage, merchandise discounts, and employee assistance programs. Additionally, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives and bonuses. Nordstrom’s commitment to legal compliance and inclusivity ensures fair opportunities for all applicants, including those with criminal histories, in adherence with local laws such as the Los Angeles and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinances.
