Job Duties

  • Maintains presence at host stand / door to professionally and graciously greet and seat customers
  • Monitors server performance to ensure smooth service during the customers’ dining experience
  • Observes proper telephone etiquette
  • Handles reservations through OpenTable platform (including VIPs) and any additional inquiries regarding hours of operation, specials, events, etc.
  • Organizes reservations, maximizes seating during operating hours, and optimizes staffing and customer traffic
  • Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment and maintains knowledge of the POS system
  • Keeps flow of service to standards (e.g., proper seating of customers to each wait station)
  • Participates in daily pre-shift meetings
  • Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)
  • Maintains cleanliness and presentability of all menus and menu covers
  • Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards including clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes
  • Ensures clean and professionally styled hair and nails maintained to avoid food contamination risks
  • Adheres to posted work schedule and follows established procedures for schedule and shift changes
