We are currently seeking a Host, also known as a Greeter, to join our vibrant team. This pivotal role is responsible for warmly welcoming guests as they arrive, managing seating arrangements, and maintaining an organized waitlist during peak periods to ensure smooth flow in our daily operations. The Host acts as the first impression of the restaurant, setting the tone for a pleasant dining experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers with a friendly demeanor, assisting guests with reservations, providing menus, and answering initial questions about our offerings and promotions. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask effectively in a busy restaurant environment. Hosts work closely with wait staff to optimize seating arrangements, balancing workloads to enhance service efficiency. Additionally, this role involves answering phones and coordinating reservations for large parties, making sure all guests feel welcomed and attended to promptly. The position demands physical stamina as it requires standing and walking throughout the entire shift, and excellent hearing to communicate effectively despite background noise.   • prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry a plus

  • good communication skills and phone etiquette
  • flexibility when working alternating shifts
  • ability to stand for long periods of time
  • must walk and stand during the entire shift
  • must be able to read and write English
  • must be able to hear well in an environment with loud background noise

Job Duties

  • Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
  • helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
  • giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
  • inform guests of current promotions and ensure a smooth handoff to service staff
  • observe guests’ needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service
  • providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
  • optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
  • answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties
  • perform general cleaning duties throughout shift and at closing
