One of the company’s celebrated properties includes the Barton Creek Country Club, a prestigious resort known for its elegant amenities and outstanding culinary experiences. At this location, Omni is currently seeking a Restaurant General Manager to lead operations within their food and beverage department. This leadership role is critical in ensuring that the resort’s dining venues uphold the highest standards of service and quality. The Restaurant General Manager will oversee the operation of the 19th Hole and Pool Cabana dining areas, contributing to the overall guest satisfaction and maintaining the resort’s reputation as a top-tier destination.

This comprehensive role is designed for a hospitality professional with at least two years of leadership experience in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting, preferably with a background in a 4-star establishment. The position requires current Texas Food Handlers and TABC certifications. Job Requirements

  • Current Texas Food Handlers certification
  • TABC certification
  • minimum 2 years leadership experience in restaurant management

Job Qualifications

  • Must have and maintain current Texas Food Handlers and TABC certifications
  • 2 years’+ leadership experience as a fine dining restaurant manager or restaurant general manager, preferably in a 4-star high volume restaurant
  • understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls
  • strong attention to detail and customer service skills
  • understanding of beer, wine, and cocktail beverage creation knowledge
  • ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English clearly and pleasantly with guests, members, management, and co-workers
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi task
  • prior serving and cash handling experience preferred
  • understanding previous culinary training or experience with menu design
  • flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures
  • lead a team of associates to provide memorable experiences to both members and associates
  • responsible for assigned shift
  • assist in overall management of 19th hole and Pool cabana operations
  • monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, cleanliness, and well-being of restaurant guests
  • maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings
  • ensure all staff has completed side work checklists for dining room
  • assist in overall management of the outlet
  • spot check liquor pars and order daily supplies
  • hold pre-shift meetings
  • follow up on established training steps
  • handle guest comments and complaints and ensure member and guest satisfaction
  • communicate with guests and receive feedback
  • stay on the floor during peak hours
  • observe, teach, and correct staff’s service in a professional manner
  • examine food preparation and beverage presentation
  • responsible for scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting
  • participate in interviewing/recruiting new employees
  • prepare maintenance requests and follow-up
  • monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste
  • check bar controls shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily
  • approve paid time off requests
  • responsible for performance management for staff, including monitoring attendance, conducting annual reviews, facilitating department meetings, disciplinary actions
  • maintain work email and responses
  • maintain knowledge of the resort property and events
  • conduct monthly department and OST meetings
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working
  • participate in company required trainings
  • champion and drive the All-In culture
