The Food and Beverage Manager role at Gaylord Hotels is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all food and beverage outlet operations. This full-time management position offers an annual salary range between $85,000 and $115,000, with eligibility for bonuses, highlighting the importance of performance excellence in the role. The location is onsite at the Kissimmee property and relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
The primary responsibility of the Food and Beverage Manager is to lead and manage the outlets' operations, including marketing initiatives, food and wine promotions, customer service excellence, and inventory management. This role involves active participation in menu and recipe development, as well as food preparation oversight to ensure quality and consistency. The manager also plays a crucial role in developing beverage programs in line with corporate agreements and standards.
In addition to operational oversight, the Food and Beverage Manager is tasked with maintaining compliance with established policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements such as HACCP, OSHA, and regional Alcoholic Beverage Commission guidelines. Strategic planning is a significant element of the role, involving budget creation and management, financial forecasting, profit and loss accountability, and cost control.
The role requires effective team management, including performance management of service and management staff, fostering a collaborative work environment, and implementing initiatives that enhance the overall guest experience. The manager is also responsible for conducting inventories, overseeing purchasing procedures, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and outlets, and facilitating communication within the Food and Beverage department and with other hotel departments.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area
- Or two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- Four years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area

- Maintains established policies and procedures within the designated outlet
- Develops and executes the strategic plan including budget administration and preparation, forecasting, profit and loss accountability, cost control and inventories
- Manages the performance of the outlet service and management staff
- Develops and executes creative initiatives to enhance the guest service experience
