The General Manager role at Border Foods is pivotal to the ongoing success of each restaurant location. This position holds full responsibility for the operation of the restaurant, ensuring every aspect runs smoothly while maintaining high standards for food quality, customer service, and team performance. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years restaurant or retail experience or combined experience and education
  • ServeSafe certified
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with sales building, P and L statements, recruiting, and training
  • Proven track record of successful hiring and retention
  • ServeSafe certified

  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Manage scheduling and deployment of team members to meet business demands
  • Guide and support team members and shift leaders in completing duties and serving quality food
  • Monitor and evaluate team member performance, providing coaching and feedback
  • Handle customer complaints with sincerity and a solution-oriented approach
  • Maintain point of sale system and ensure proper financial controls
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans
  • Source, hire, train, and develop excellent team members
  • Control inventory, labor, and waste to maximize profitability
  • Foster a safe and positive work environment
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members
  • Uphold compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
