Job Description

Border Foods started as a vision between two brothers who dreamed of opening a Mexican restaurant and has since evolved into one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in the United States. The company operates with a people-first mantra, deeply valuing everyone from cooks and cashiers to restaurant managers and beyond. This philosophy fosters a family-like environment that emphasizes learning, growth, and the shaping of future opportunities in line with its mission of enhancing people's lives. Border Foods prides itself on a strong culture built around core values such as Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment. These values are embedded in every level of the organization and guide the everyday actions and decisions of the team.

If you join Border Foods as a General Manager, you will take on a pivotal role responsible for the smooth and successful operation of an entire restaurant. Your mission will be to reinforce and embody the company’s core values while leading your team to consistently deliver a great guest experience with top-quality food and friendly service. You will be empowered to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where all team members can thrive, learn, and grow. With a strong emphasis on leadership and operational excellence, the General Manager role demands strategic thinking, financial management, team development, and customer service excellence. This full-time, exempt management position typically requires a minimum commitment of 50 hours per week and offers competitive compensation ranging from $50,000 up to $100,000 annually, including base pay and lucrative bonus potential.

Border Foods offers a comprehensive and rewarding employment package for General Managers, including programs like tuition reimbursement, GED education, scholarship opportunities, and medical, dental, and vision insurance available to all positions—even part-time. Top performers are recognized through exciting incentives such as annual trips to Mexico, reflecting the company’s gratitude for dedication and high performance. In addition to a dynamic and inclusive culture supporting career advancement, benefits also include paid vacation, sick and holiday pay, a vacation donation program, and free food during shifts.
